Whilst face to face contact time will be during the winter months, this isn’t just a winter training programme.

There will be regular opportunities to stay in contact throughout the year, with feedback given on any footage submitted.

Regular catch ups on a closed social media platform will also be included so as to keep updated on progress during the summer.

Membership of the Academy is a 12 month experience.

Through a blended approach we will look to help you to become the best spin bowling version of yourself. To do this we will

· Look at developing your technique so as to deliver spin consistently

· Help you to become tactically ‘more savvy’ so as to make best use of your talents in both red ball and white ball competition

· Work on your craft and explore variations to help you become more skilful as a bowler

· Look at the mental attributes needed to succeed as a spin bowler including that of being a resilient independent self-starter

· Train in a way that develops the movement patterns that support spin and a consistent action

Whilst working on themes that all quality spin bowlers apply to their games, spinners on the Academy will have individual work on’s captured on a Personal Development Plan. Progress will be tracked as they progress through the Academy Programme,     receiving support from both Peter and a number of support coaches and  specialists.

The Spin Academy will be headed up by former International Spin Bowler and Coach, Peter Such.

To learn more about Peter's career, see ‘About Peter’

The Programme consists of 10 full day (5 hour sessions) during which time we will immerse ourselves in the art of spin bowling exploring themes designed to impact positively on performance. These sessions will be spaced out over the winter months with time in between allowing for take away work to be completed and any changes to embed themselves. Sessions will be at the weekend or during school holidays.

SUCCESS STORIES

"Johnny played his first competitive county game for Herts yesterday and it was the best I have ever seen him bowl .. the difference in his approach to the crease (faster and straighter), time at the crease (getting up over his front leg) and follow through compared to before he started with you is quite exceptional progress and the ball flight was fantastic … 9 overs for 17 and had a dropped catch off him and beat the bat many times through flight and dip …. Great work..."
